About Straptight Strap Locks

Inventor/Founder
With more than 20 years touring and recording experience, guitarist and Straptight® inventor Bill Lonero is very familiar with guitarist’s requirements when playing live/recording. He has 3 albums with his band LoNero (“Relentless“, “J.F.L.” and “The Defiant Machine“) as well as one solo album (“Slather“). “The Defiant Machine” was named one of the most noteworthy albums of the last 50 years by Guitar Player magazine in the October 2017 issue. He has recorded and/or performed with Cliff Williams (AC/DC), Simon Kirke (Bad Company), Mike Mangini (Dream Theater/Steve Vai/Extreme), Simon Phillips (Jeff Beck/The Who/Toto/Gary Moore), Stu Hamm (Joe Satriani/Steve Vai), Gigi Gonaway (Mariah Carey) and more. He was also a member of the band SteelHeart for a brief period and guitar instructor/counselor for The Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp in Hollywood, CA. Bill has a background in graphic/web design as well as apprenticing as luthier under the tutelage of master luthier Steve Klein. He also practices Krav Maga and Combat Hapkido on an almost daily basis. When he isn’t doing any of that, you can find Bill shooting landscape photography, doing archery, playing golf or working on new music. He is also the author of the book "Crazy Facts: The Most Comprehensive Book of Stuff You Never Thought You Wanted to Know...But You Do". 

Bill's current band is The Royal Rebels and he is also working on a solo album with guitar legend Tony MacAlpine producing and playing keyboards.
